Workplace Solutions are independently available and each is a self- contained process that enforces timely notification of responsibility and promotes accountability - the most vital components of any successful process. Though independently deployable, each process is aware of any other Workplace Solution you have implemented, providing seamless cross-organizational integration between these processes. As they are built on top of the foundation Infrastructure.Net product, you receive all of the features available in the base portal package, such as reporting, charts and data entry capabilities. A Workplace Solution is targeted to the sliver of infrastructure management process that pertains to a particular service group. Aside from foundation reports and data entry capabilities common to all Workplace Solutions, such as buildings, employees and departments, you do not have any unnecessary reports or data entry forms that do not pertain to your mission cluttering up the user interface, which reduces time to user proficiency. Each Workplace Solution is developed with a premium placed on timely notification and accountability. Without such driving forces, a process often breaks down at the pressure points – usually between departments, political boundaries or individuals with interpersonal considerations. To help you accomplish this goal, each Workplace Solution is designed to promote “reactive” usage. This is where users are notified as soon as new work has to be done and reminded when necessary or when the user asks Infrastructure.Net to remind them. Work reminders can be sent into the users personal “My Portal”, relayed via email to the user’s email account, sent via text message for urgent requests or any combination of the three. Should process tasks become overdue beyond a threshold that you decide, notification can even be elevated to a supervisor to address the deficiency before if becomes a larger problem. |
